Tushar Pandey

Bollywood Male Actor

Tushar Pandey, born on November 22, 1991, is a prominent Indian actor primarily recognized for his contributions to Bollywood. With a strong foundation in acting education, he is notable for his role as Mummy in the 2019 film “Chhichhore.” His acting journey began in 2015 with the psychological thriller “Beyond Blue: An Unnerving Tale of a Demented Mind,” which made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival’s Marché du Film.

 

Growing up in Delhi, Tushar’s passion for the performing arts was ignited during his school days at Montfort Senior Secondary School. He actively participated in stage plays, music, and sports competitions. After completing school, he secured admission to Kirori Mal College, majoring in English (H), through the special theater admission process. He became a member of the college’s theater society, ‘The Players.’

 

His formal training in acting commenced at the esteemed National School of Drama, an institution renowned throughout Asia for its theater education. Additionally, he received advanced training in physical theater from the London International School of Performing Arts, earning an Inlaks Shivadasani Foundation International Scholarship.

 

Tushar’s acting career debuted with a minor role in the film “Rang De Basanti,” where he portrayed a student auditioning for a documentary role. He gained recognition for his supporting role in the acclaimed 2016 film “Pink,” sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. In 2019, he was introduced as the lead in Rajshri Productions’ youth-oriented film “Hum Chaar.”

 

However, Tushar’s breakthrough came in the same year with the film “Chhichhore,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Starring alongside actors like Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor, the film received widespread acclaim and emerged as one of the year’s biggest hits.
