Ananya Panday is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. She is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday and costume designer Bhavana Panday. She made her acting debut in 2019 with the teen film Student of the Year 2, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She has since starred in the films Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), Khaali Peeli (2020), and Gehraiyaan (2022).

Panday was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on October 30, 1998. She attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School and then the University of Southern California, where she studied business administration. In 2017, she participated in Vanity Fair’s Le Bal des débutantes event in Paris.

Panday’s acting career began in 2019 with the release of Student of the Year 2, a sequel to the 2012 film Student of the Year. The film was a commercial success and Panday’s performance was praised by critics. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance.
