Abhijeet Sawant is an Indian playback singer, television personality, and actor. He is best known for winning the first season of Indian Idol in 2004. He has since sung for many popular Bollywood films, including Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, Om Shanti Om, and Agneepath. He has also released several solo albums.

Sawant was born in Mumbai, India, on October 7, 1981. He started singing at a very young age and participated in several singing competitions. In 2004, he auditioned for the first season of Indian Idol and was selected as one of the top 12 contestants. He went on to win the show and became a household name.

After winning Indian Idol, Sawant signed a recording contract with Sony Music India and released his debut album, Abhijeet Sawant, in 2005. The album was a commercial success and featured the hit songs Kal Ho Naa Ho and Tujhe Dekha To. He has since released several more albums, including Abhi Mujh Mein Kahi (2006), Soch (2007), and Abhijeet Sawant Live (2008).
