Adah Sharma is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema. She was born on May 11, 1992 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her father, S. L. Sharma, was a captain in the Indian Merchant Navy, and her mother, Sheila Sharma, is an Indian classical dancer and mallakhamba yoga practitioner. Sharma was educated at Auxilium Convent High School, Bandra. When she was in tenth grade, she had decided that she wanted to become an actress.
Sharma made her acting debut in the 2008 Hindi horror film, 1920. The film was a box office success, and Sharma’s performance was critically praised. She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance. After the release of 1920, Sharma appeared in a number of other films, including Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), Commando (2013), and Commando 2 (2017). She has also ventured into the South Indian film industry, playing the leading lady in the Telugu film Heart Attack (2014) and the Tamil film Yennai Arindhaal (2015).
