She rose to fame in 2001 with her debut film Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin, where she played the lead role of Milli. After that, Amrita continued on television. When she was 14, she was selected to be a part of India’s first reality show, Kya Masti Kya Dhoom, which she co-hosted with Bollywood actress Sonali Bhindre for over two years.

Her last television drama was Har Kuch Gehta Hai for Zee TV, where she played one of the lead heroines.

She did one of her most convincing roles with Rajshri Films in Sooraj Parjatya’s Viva as Choti. Her performance in Viva was greatly appreciated by the critics. Amrita has repeatedly quoted- “Vivah is one of the biggest milestones and turning points of my career.

Amrita played the character Sandhya in Ek Viva Aisa B. She played a small role in Dharma Productions We Are Family.

He took up the show Ek Rishta Aisa B for Sony Paul. She played the lead role of Deepika in the show.
