Anupam Roy

Playback Male Singer

Anupam Roy is a multi-talented Indian singer-songwriter, music director, composer, guitarist, and playback singer hailing from Kolkata, West Bengal. Born on 29 March 1982, he made his debut in the music industry with the songs “Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao” and “Benche Thakar Gaan,” which were featured on the soundtrack of the Bengali film Autograph in 2010.

 

Anupam Roy has since become a prominent figure in the Bengali music scene, contributing as a composer, lyricist, and singer for numerous Bengali films. His compositions are known for their soulful melodies and meaningful lyrics. In 2015, he made his Bollywood debut as a music composer with the critically acclaimed film Piku. His work in Piku earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director and he won the Filmfare Award for Best Background Score.

 

With his talent and versatility, Anupam Roy has received several accolades throughout his career. He is a recipient of four Filmfare Awards and was honored with the 64th National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song “Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho.”

 

Anupam Roy’s contributions to the music industry, both in Bengali and Hindi cinema, have garnered him widespread recognition and appreciation. He continues to captivate audiences with his soul-stirring compositions and remains a celebrated musician in India.
