Plabita Borthakur is an Indian actress and singer who primarily works in the Hindi film industry. She was born on April 13, 1990, in Duliajan, Assam, India.

Plabita made her acting debut with the critically acclaimed film “PK” in 2014, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. However, it was her role as Rehana in the coming-of-age film “Lipstick Under My Burkha” (2016) that brought her widespread recognition and critical acclaim. Her performance in the film, which dealt with themes of female sexuality and liberation, garnered praise for its authenticity and portrayal of a rebellious young woman.

Following the success of “Lipstick Under My Burkha,” Plabita appeared in other Hindi films such as “Judgementall Hai Kya” (2019) and “Ghost Stories” (2020). She also made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the movie “Falaknuma Das” (2019).
