Rimi Sen

Bollywood Female Actor

Rimi Sen is an Indian film actress who primarily worked in Hindi cinema. She was born on September 21, 1981, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Rimi began her career as a model before transitioning to acting.

 

Rimi Sen made her acting debut with the Telugu film “Nee Thodu Kavali” in 2002. She then ventured into Bollywood with the comedy film “Hungama” in 2003, directed by Priyadarshan. The film was a commercial success, and Rimi received positive reviews for her performance, which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

 

She went on to appear in several successful films, including “Dhoom” (2004), in which she played a pivotal role alongside stars like Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. Rimi also appeared in movies like “Golmaal: Fun Unlimited” (2006) and its sequels, “Dhoom 2” (2006), and “Phir Hera Pheri” (2006). Her performances were appreciated by the audience, and she became known for her comic timing and charming screen presence.

 

Rimi Sen took a break from acting after a while and participated in the reality show “Bigg Boss” in 2015, gaining further popularity. However, she returned to films with the Bengali film “Budhia Singh – Born to Run” in 2016.
