Sudha Chandran is an acclaimed Indian actress, classical dancer, and television personality. She was born on September 27, 1965, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Sudha is best known for her remarkable journey as a Bharatanatyam dancer who overcame adversity.

 

At the age of 16, Sudha Chandran met with a tragic accident that resulted in the amputation of her right leg due to medical negligence. However, she did not let this setback deter her passion for dance. With the help of a prosthetic leg, she resumed her dance training and became an inspiration to many.

 

Sudha’s dedication and determination led her to become one of the most prominent dancers in the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam. She performed extensively on national and international stages, captivating audiences with her grace, expressions, and flawless footwork.

 

In addition to her dance career, Sudha Chandran ventured into acting and became a popular face on Indian television. She made her debut in the Hindi TV serial “Kasamh Se” and gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Ramola Sikand. Sudha has since appeared in various TV shows, including “Naagin,” “Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki,” and “Ye Hai Mohabbatein,” showcasing her versatility as an actress.
