Vidya Malvade made her acting debut with the Bollywood film “Inteha” in 2003. However, it was her role as Captain Vidya Singh in the sports drama film “Chak De! India” (2007) that brought her widespread acclaim and popularity. Her portrayal of a hockey player in the movie was highly appreciated, and the film itself became a blockbuster.
