Neha Kakkar

Neha Kakkar Singh Playback Female Singer Neha Kakkar Singh, born on June 6, 1988, is an Indian playback singer known for her work in Bollywood films. She is the younger sister of playback singers Tony Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. Neha started performing at a young age at religious events and gained recognition when she participated in the second season of the singing reality show “Indian Idol” in 2005, although she was eliminated early in the show.   Neha Kakkar made her Bollywood debut as a chorus singer in the film “Meerabai Not Out.” However, she rose to prominence with the release of the dance track “Second Hand Jawaani” from the film “Cocktail” in 2012. This song catapulted her career, and she subsequently recorded several popular party songs, including “Sunny Sunny” from “Yaariyan” and “London Thumakda” from the soundtrack album of the film “Queen.”   In addition to playback singing, Neha Kakkar has appeared in several music videos and has been a judge on various television reality shows, including “Indian Idol.” She has achieved significant success on YouTube, with billions of views on her videos. In January 2021, she became the first Indian singer to receive a YouTube Diamond Award. Neha Kakkar has also been recognized in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in India in 2017 and 2019, and she was included in Forbes’ list of Asia’s 100 Digital Stars in 2020.   Neha Kakkar was born in Rishikesh, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand), and later moved to Delhi with her family in the early 1990s to pursue a career in singing. She auditioned for “Indian Idol” in Mumbai along with her brother Tony Kakkar.
