Roopa Revathi Playback Female Singer Roopa Revathi, also known as Roopa K.R., is an Indian musician, violinist, and playback singer from Kerala. She began her career as a playback singer in the Malayalam movie “Madampi” in 2008 and has also recorded songs for Tamil and Kannada films. She gained recognition and popularity as the winner of the reality show “Amrita TV Super Star Global,” a musical talent hunt show hosted by Amrita TV.   Roopa Revathi was born in Ernakulam, Kerala. She started learning Carnatic music at the age of five under the guidance of Malini Hariharan and Tamarakkadu Govindan Namboothiri. Currently, she continues her musical education under the guidance of P Unni Krishnan and M. Jayachandran.   In 2008, Roopa Revathi made her debut as a playback singer with the song “Ente Sharike” in B. Unnikrishnan’s Malayalam film “Madampi,” with music composed by M. Jayachandran. Sadly, her father passed away on July 6, 2014, due to cardiac arrest.   Rimi Tomy’s singing career took off when she joined the well-known troupe called Angel Voice.
