Jaspinder Narula

Jaspinder Narula Playback Female Singer Jaspinder Narula is an Indian singer known for her contributions to playback, classical, and Sufi music in both Hindi and Punjabi cinema. She was born on November 14, 1970. One of her notable achievements was winning the 1999 Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the duet “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” with Remo Fernandes from the film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (1998).   Throughout her career, Jaspinder Narula has sung in various popular films, including Mission Kashmir, Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, and Bunty Aur Babli. She has also ventured into Sufi music and sung Gurbani and other Sikh religious music. In recent years, she collaborated with Mudasir Ali on the Hindi music video “Maula Ali Ali.”   In 2008, Jaspinder Narula participated in and won the title of India’s Best Live Performer in the NDTV Imagine singing reality series, Dhoom Macha De.   Her musical journey began at an early age, influenced by her father, Kesar Singh Narula, who was a music composer of the 1950s. She received training from her father and Ustad Ghulam Sadiq Khan of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana. Initially, she focused on singing bhajans and Sufi compositions before transitioning to film singing. Her breakthrough came when music director Viju Shah, son of Kalyanji, gave her a break in films like Master, Aar Ya Paar, and Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan in 1998.   Jaspinder Narula has recorded numerous music albums and lent her voice to many successful Bollywood films, including Dulhe Raja, Virasat, Mission Kashmir, Mohabbatein, and Bunty Aur Babli.   On a personal note, she resides in Mumbai and is married to a Canada-based Indian businessman. She pursued a B.A. (Hons) in Music from Indraprastha College for Women, where she was admitted as a special case since Music was not a subject in her 12th-grade curriculum, which was a prerequisite for the course. Jonita Gandhi Playback Female Singer Jonita Gandhi is a Canadian playback singer of Indian descent.
