Tusshar Kapoor Telivision Male Actor Tusshar Kapoor, born on 20 November 1976, is an Indian actor and film producer who primarily works in Hindi cinema. He comes from a prominent film family, being the son of Indian actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. His elder sister, Ekta Kapoor, is a renowned television and film producer. Tusshar Kapoor attended the Bombay Scottish School, where he was in the same class as Abhishek Bachchan. He later pursued a BBA degree at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Similar to his father, Tusshar Kapoor is a follower of Nichiren Buddhism.   In June 2016, Tusshar Kapoor made headlines when he opted for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and became a single parent to his son, Laksshya Kapoor, through surrogacy. This decision inspired many and shed light on alternative paths to parenthood.   Before making his acting debut, Tusshar Kapoor worked as an assistant to film director David Dhawan. He then received training in acting from Roshan Taneja and Mahendra Verma at their acting school, and in dance from Nimesh Bhatt. Tusshar Kapoor made his acting debut in 2001 with the film “Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai,” a remake of the Telugu hit “Tholi Prema,” in which he starred alongside Kareena Kapoor. His performance in the film earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He subsequently appeared in films like “Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa” (2002), “Jeena Sirf Merre Liye” (2002), and “Yeh Dil” (2003), which were remakes of Telugu films but didn’t perform well at the box office.   He gained recognition for his role in Ram Gopal Varma’s production “Gayab” (2004), despite the film’s average performance. From 2004 onwards, Tusshar Kapoor starred in several commercially successful films, including “Khakee” (2004), “Kyaa Kool Hai Hum” (2005), “Golmaal” (2006), “Shootout at Lokhandwala” (2007), “Golmaal Returns” (2008), “Golmaal 3” (2010), “The Dirty Picture” (2011), “Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum” (2012), “Shor in the City” (2012), and “Shootout at Wadala” (2013).   Apart from acting, Tusshar Kapoor has been involved in philanthropic activities. In 2012, he participated in the “Fashion for a Cause” event, which aimed to raise funds for homeless children. He has also co-produced and acted in films like “Chaar Din Ki Chandni” (2012), “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3” (2016), and “Mastizaade” (2016).   In 2017, Tusshar Kapoor starred as Lucky in the comedy film “Golmaal Again,” which became a blockbuster success.
