Shashaa Tirupati

Shashaa Tirupati Playback Female Singer Shashaa Tirupati, born on December 21, 1989, is a Canadian playback singer, songwriter, and music producer of Indian descent. She is known for her versatile vocal skills and has recorded songs in over 20 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Konkani, Arabic, and English. With more than 200 songs to her credit, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the Indian music industry.   Tirupati gained recognition as “The Humma Girl” for her rendition of the popular song “The Humma Song” from the film OK Jaanu. In 2018, she received the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer and the Filmfare Award for the Tamil song “Vaan Varuvaan” from the movie Kaatru Veliyidai.   Some of her notable Bollywood hits include “Khulke Jeene Ka” from Dil Bechara, “Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga” (with Arijit Singh) and “Baarish” from Half Girlfriend, “Kanha” from Shubh Mangal Savdhan, and “O Sona Tere Liye” and “Chal Kahin Door” from the film Mom. She has also collaborated with renowned composer A.R. Rahman on several projects, including the films Dil Bechara and 99 Songs.   Apart from playback singing, Tirupati has ventured into independent music and released her first single, “In My Skin,” from her debut EP titled “I’m Sorry, Heart” in January 2022.
